Ask precise questions
A pole, pipe or road drain near a plot does not establish that you can connect to it. Ask which services are connected, where the connection points are and what evidence is available. Mark unanswered items as unconfirmed in your comparison.
Build a services checklist
- Water supply and any shared arrangements.
- Electricity supply and the capacity needed for your intended use.
- Drainage and wastewater arrangements where relevant.
- Telecommunications and practical reception at the site.
- Access for installing and maintaining infrastructure.
Get project-specific information
Contact the appropriate providers and advisers about feasibility, permissions, route, timing and cost. Ask whether a quotation assumes works on another person’s land. Keep installation and ongoing charges separate when budgeting.
For advertisers
Use the Services & utilities field to distinguish connected, nearby and unknown services. Avoid promising availability or a connection price unless you have current evidence that applies to the parcel and intended use.
