Listing review, statuses and what each one means

Draft, pending review, approved, changes needed, live, withdrawn, sold and let.

Updated 16 September 2026

The statuses

  • Draft — visible only to you. Nothing is published.
  • Pending review — submitted and waiting for a moderator.
  • Changes needed — we could not approve it yet. The reason is shown on your dashboard; fix it and resubmit.
  • Approved — the content has passed review. This is not the same as being live.
  • Live — approved and covered by unexpired paid advertising time. Only live listings appear in search.
  • Withdrawn — taken off the market by you. It stops appearing immediately.
  • Sold or Let — kept for your records and removed from public search.

Why approval and payment are separate

They answer different questions. Approval means the advertisement is acceptable. Paid time means the advertising period is funded. A listing needs both, and expiry is enforced whenever a page is read, so an expired listing never appears even for a moment.

Editing a live listing

Changes to property details, published contacts or files return an approved listing to pending review. Your paid period continues while it is re-checked. Saving unchanged details does not require another review.
